This product is a complete system for efficiently synthesizing first strand cDNA using RNA as a template, capable of synthesizing cDNA up to 13 kb in length. This product contains RiboLock RNase inhibitors, which can effectively protect RNA templates from degradation.

The Thermo Scientific RevertAid first strand cDNA synthesis kit is equipped with oligo (dT) 18 primers and random hexamer primers. The oligo (dT) 18 primer can selectively bind to the poly (A) tail in mRNA. Random hexamer primers do not require a poly (A) tail, so they can transcribe the 5 '- terminal region of mRNA, and can also synthesize cDNA using RNA without a poly (A) tail (such as microRNA) as a template. This kit can also use gene specific primers.
