N-2 additive is based on Bottenstein's N-1 formula and is a serum free additive with determined chemical composition. Recommended for supporting the growth and expression of primary neuroblastomas and post mitotic neurons originating from the peripheral and central nervous systems. N-2 additive is provided as a 100X concentrate and can be used in conjunction with Neurobasal culture medium supplemented with growth factors such as bFGF and EGF. It can also be used in conjunction with DMEM.
